2013 China Banker Development Programme
HSBC China has launched the selection for 2013 Banker Development Programme. The Programme is designed to develop bankers with a business focus in specific customer groups or functions.
The Banker Development Programme has a culture of meritocracy to nurture future leaders, which will provide you with comprehensive classroom training, on-the-job training and job rotation in Mainland China as well as overseas attachment in Asia Pacific during the 24-month period. You can acquire cross-functional and international exposure, fast track for managerial role and brilliant career path for general banker from 24-month programme.
Six Streams � Focused Programme
There are six business-focused streams in BDP, each designed to optimise the learning experience and provide trainees with skill sets specific to the respective business needs.
Following is a brief description of each of the seven business areas.
Commercial Banking (CMB)
CMB has long been the heart of what we are all about; building deep relationships to help people do business around the world for the past 147 years. With our international connectivity, CMB brings global solutions to local companies and local solutions to global companies. We have Business Unit and Corporate Unit specially designed to cater to customers groups ranging from smallmedium enterprises and mid-market enterprises to large local corporations, offering the best solutions accordingly. CMB's ranges of products include corporate lending, treasury, trade services/ financing, payments and cash management, investment and insurance.
Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM)
RBWM focuses on providing banking and wealth solutions to meet the needs of personal customers. Premier service and Advance service are our two global propositions. Leveraging the Bank's strong brand, financial strength, global expertise and international connectivity, we are able to provide customers with a unique banking experience, and offer a wide range of financial solutions to satisfy their needs in different life stages.
Technology and Services (HTS)
The HTS organization leading by Chief Operating Officer China forms a key part of the bank's strategy in mainland China by integrating all internal operations expertise and technology platforms. As at the end of May 2012, near 1000 colleagues located in 28 cities across China were working together to deliver HTS support for China business expansion, with our recent focuses on driving efficiency, building scalability, and ensuring a reliable and well managed operating environment
HTS includes: Change Delivery, HTS Risk and Administration, Procurement, HTS Global Banking & Market, Service Delivery and Software Delivery.
Securities Services (HSS)
HSS has been a pioneer in the development in the China securities market since it was established in Shanghai in 1992. We have a dominant market share of the custody business for QFII and B-share investors and we have the largest custody team among foreign custodian banks in China. There are four product lines within HSS, ie sub custody, global custody, corporate loan and trust agency, and fund services. Because of our market share, global custody network, experience and knowledge, we have a very strong and influential relationship with China's securities regulators.
Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF)
We have a dynamic and award winning team of GTRF experts covering the China market, providing a comprehensive range of trade products and services, including core trade, supply chain financing, complex trade and forfaiting to support the fast growing China trade business. Global Payments and Cash Management (PCM)
