IT Lead

Due to its constant expansion and new projects, Puma Energy is looking for a IT Lead - to be based in Luanda.

Puma Energy is a globally and vertically integrated mid- and downstream oil company active in Latin America, Africa, North East Europe, the Middle East and Asia.Formed in 1997 to enter Central America storage and downstream sectors, Puma has "exported" its original concept successfully to other continents.

Reports to: Global IT Lead

Key Relationships:

 
Main responsibilities:
  • Drives the implementation of IT systems for the region - Terminal Management System;
  • Ensure the deployment of the IT projects according to scope, time, budget and quality constraints;
  • Responsible for managing and defining the budget;
  • Responsible for the recruitment and performance management of key IT staff;
  • Ensures that all projects are in line with ITIL standards;
  • Ensures that all project documents are complete, current, stored appropriately and where necessary have signed approval;
  • Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning;
  • Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services;
  • Responsible for managing third party contractors, ensuring quality and timely delivery;

 Education and Qualifications:

Experience: 

  • Engineering or hard science degree E.g. Electrical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Banking a plus.
  • Experience of Developing software (Development Software) and software tools. Programming
  • Experience in leading small teams.
  • Experience in Project Management / Programme Manager roles.
  • Experience in application development and delivery management.
  • Mid level career experience, with strong experience in IT Management,
  • Exposure to an International working environment,
  • Understanding of Oil and Gas business processes e.g. terminal operations

 Qualifications:

  • Certification/Diploma,
  • Bachelor's Degree/Higher Diploma,
  • Master's Degree or Project Management Certification
