Management of all forming equipment and the employees in the department.
Optimum utilization of the existing technical equipment.
Immediate introduction of counter-measures after the detection of any continuous defective production during the running of production.
Elimination of production failures, if necessary, consultation with the IS Repair workshop and Electrical workshop.
Development of new concepts and setting standards to improve production process (e.g. weight reduction and speed increase of glass containers)
Responsible for analysis of problematic bottle types by means of all available data and planning of improvement measures for the future.
Co-ordination of re-planning and the use of new machines and equipment.
Responsible for the optimization of job changes and maintenance.
Responsible for the accomplishment of internal quality and environmental audits.
Permanent exchange of information with forming specialists, shift leaders, shift foremen, IS machine operators and melting and quality control managers
Regular meetings with subordinate employees to discuss current problems (business and private) and to capture proposals for improvement and measures to be taken.
Ordering of required tools and forming bottle making equipment.
Customer visits (in case of complaints or new bottle types)
Development and training of learner forming specialist and learner forming operators in order to ensure maximum skills transfer.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in forming area.
Performance management of all forming staff.
Ensure effective forehearth set-up.

Must have a proven track record in achievement
Experience as a forming manager
