Finance Manager

Puma Energy International is a vertically integrated midstream and downstream oil company and currently has more than 30 operating subsidiaries located in over 20 countries worldwide.


Job Description

Provide regular flow of information to senior Management at local, Regional and Global level to evaluate the Financial performance of the affiliate. Liaise with external counterparties to ensure compliance requirements are met.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the overall activities of the Finance & Accounting functions in the affiliate overall and by Line of Business. Monitor and manage Capital expenditure, Operating expenses, Gross margin by product/Line of Business and Working capital.
  • Provide local financial expertise and business support to all Business lines in the country.
  • Provide to Puma management a timely reporting and ensure that it represents a true and fair statement of the operating activities.
  • Comply with all Group and Statutory requirements of the company. Ensure that all requirements are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Prepare the company's financial reports and present findings and recommendations to the top executive Group and senior management.
  • Manage and develop financial staff to ensure that the company's financial activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to the relevant regulations, laws and standards.

Requirements 

Experience

  • Leadership role in Finance.
  • Previous experience in industry is an advantage as well as experience in Auditing, Business Consulting and Taxation.
  • Computer system skills.
  • Ability to travel on request
  • Fluent in English and French or Portuguese or Spanish (must speak English plus one of these languages).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and under minimal supervision.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to effectively communicate financial information to Business leaders as well as to Senior management.
  • Hands-on and detail oriented.
  • Must be a team player with initiative and demonstrated capability to work in a challenging environment.
  • Ability to multi-task. 

Education

  • Post-graduate University degree, Registered/Certified/Chartered Accountant, Business Administration experience.
