Oil Field Project Manager

Job Description

  • Provides direction to all project functional leads
  • Establishes / Manages detailed project execution plan, budgets and schedule
  • Establishes or assists in establishing the overall engineering budget and schedule.
  • Reviews and approves change orders, project reports and project expenditures
  • Supervises review and endorses bid analyses and recommendations for procurement of equipment material and services
  • Resolves field and home office interface issues
  • Undertakes co-ordination meetings with all project stakeholders in all phases of the project
  • Interacts with client on all project matters
  • Assists in proposals, in technical matters, cost estimation etc. during business development phase of projects.
  • Implements sound project controls
  • Implements best practices

Education and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural or related field
  • At least 15 years experience in overall management of upstream and offshore oil and gas production facilities
  • Broad knowledge of the upstream and offshore industry. 
  • Ability to manage multiple project functions to achieve project completion in accordance with technical requirements, cost and schedule. 
  • Knowledgeable of all activities required on upstream and offshore facilities projects including fixed and floating structures of all types, topsides equipment and systems and interfaces with sub-sea equipment and control systems. 
  • Ability to coordinate project issues with Client and Company management and with the project team and other stakeholders.
  • Hands-on knowledge of project related engineering, application of engineering and construction methods and materials, and engineering application of computer software specially related to complexities of upstream and offshore facilities of all types.
  • Experience managing Conceptual Studies, FEED, and Detailed EPC projects.
  • Experience in engineering design and fabrication of large modularized facilities
  • Knowledge of related fabrication/construction/installation practices and economics and current knowledge of new methods of design and construction.
  • Strong organizational and managerial skills related to complex engineering activities
