The Role

Based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria and reporting to the President (Acting) - Europe & Africa, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Delivering on the P/L objectives for the Nigeria territory.
Determining the strategic vision for the local organisation and driving the local functional teams.
Working with the GM NWE on the current and long-term objectives and set adequate annual operating and sales plans for future development, including targeted industries / territories / applications / products / services, major projects, order targets and gross margins.
Managing resources (human/financial/technical) to achieve the balance between short and long-term profits and to drive organisational transformation.
Representing the company and its values in its relationships with major customers, and suppliers in a high profile, lucid, credible and persuasive manner.
Achieving overall annual sales plan targets by volume and margin.
Ensuring that all activities are properly coordinated within Nigeria to ensure achievement of company objectives.
Ensuring that company strategies and individual goals are properly communicated, coordinated, understood and effectively cascaded down the Nigerian organisation.
Ensuring the development of the local content, creating an atmosphere where employee contributions are valued as well as providing leadership and direction.

The Person

An extensive general management and commercial experience as well as an in-depth knowledge of the industries and market complexities in which the company operates.
A Senior Manager with an extensive teamwork experience and international mindset.
Extensive sales/account management experience, technical knowledge and man-management skills.
Self-motivated, tenacious, able to command respect at all levels and an advocate of continuous improvement.
A direct experience of working in Nigeria or West Africa.
Project business orientation and experience in multiple business functions
Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, develop and retain capable team members.
Company start up experience (Desirable).
