Job Description

You will be a part of GE Energy Infrastructure Sub Sahara Africa Regional HR team, working with local and extended HR teams to ensure consistent application of HR policies.

You will report directly to the Senior HR of the Country. You will provide HR coaching and generalist support for GE in Angola and Sub Sahara Africa, working closely with functional & business HR community across the other GE Businesses. Provide coaching and support for implementation of GE HR initiatives and programs including GE Shares, Service Awards Programs and others; represent the African region for Oil & Gas in related HR forums and local Universities.Support the Senior HRM of the Country in driving strategic & operational HR-related planning, Staffing, Session C, Compensation Planning, Leadership Coaching, Employee Development & Performance Management.Support all innovative global HR practices to create a strong culture of leaders and high performing teams.Keep HR Instructions and processes up to date relative to policies and local legislation and provide guidance to the business regarding interpretation and compliance with national laws and regulations. Contribute to the identification, selection, on-boarding and retention of world-class talents.Help implement appropriate communication tools and systems to ensure effective flow of information.

Education and Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in a human resources position).
Experience as a human resources generalist.
Labor law intelligence and industrial relations experience.
Strong analytical and communication skills
Results-oriented, with demonstrated experience of balancing multiple tasks and priorities
Highly motivated, ability to work independently
Strong relationship builder
Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels
Travel between sites in the country is required
Demonstrated success in development & application of up-to-date practice in employee relations, HR policy & formulation, recruitment & staffing and training & development
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix team environment.
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Fluency in English (oral and written) will be required for this role.
