QC/QA Welding Inspector

Job Description

In this role you will verify that equipment is received, manufactured, assembled, tested andrepaired within the Test & Assembly facilities conforming to applicable specifications and agreed customer requirements.

-Verification that equipment is assembled and tested to specified requirements and that all 3rd party inspection activities are complete and accepted-The maintenance and handover of completed and QC verified build documentation as evidence of product compliance-The identification and appropriate labelling of non conforming product to prevent its unintended use-The raising and closing down of Non Conformity Reports (GRRs) to facilitate the control and rework of non conforming product-Completion of survey reports detailing the condition of field returned equipment to determine the extent of rework and remanufacture-Generation and Maintenance of QA Inspection and Test Plans-Compliance with Quality Management System procedures and work Instructions-Perform goods receive Inspection and file relevant documentation

Education and Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent
Product technical knowledge and an understanding of Engineering Drawings
Part Specifications, API codes and Factory Acceptance Testing
The ability to perform detailed dimensional inspection of component parts
A knowledge of Quality Management Systems and the risks and hazardsassociated with an assembly and pressure testing environment representatives andcompetent bodies on matters of quality and final product acceptance
Product knowledge
Certified Welding Inspector with Knowledge of Welding Code (API 104, ASME,AWS)
Preferably with 2 years experience in manufacturing / fabrication industry-Team player-Understanding of manufacturing drawings and specification
Knowledge of Fabrication Inspection Techniques
A knowledge of Quality Management Systems and the risks and hazardsassociated with an assembly and pressure testing environment
Computer literacy
Product / Oilfield knowledge-Competence and use of micrometer equipment
Ability to work in a remote Base
Adheres to Company Policies and procedures
Promotes a culture of excellence in all aspects of Quality, Health, Safety andEnvironment
