Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be based in Angola, primarily supporting specific fabrication projects. You will also assess the competency of GE suppliers used in the Supply Chain, ensuring they meet the technical requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for defined work on Projects with moderate complexity. Follows an individual work plan and meets day to day short term business objectives. Has the ability to resolve issues through immediate action and short term planning.Establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements.Assist in supplier approval process including manufacturing technology, and Environmental Health & Safety risk analyses.Drive Continuous Improvements of supplier’s quality, using data gathered from the GE Systems.

Education and Qualifications

Graduate (Or Equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in Sourcing Procedures.Excellent
Quality & Manufacturing Process Knowledge.Lead Assessor - ISO 9001:2008
Technical Knowledge in special processes ( Fabrication, welding, Painting, NDT, handling of exotic materials)
Availability to travel inside and out Angola as needed.
Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing technology.
Knowledge of National and International standards and procedures.
Basic Six Sigma understanding.
Structured data driven mindset.
Good communication skills.
Fluent in English.
Computer literate.
