Project ManagerJob Description Achievement of unit’s annual financial targets (includes effective balance sheet & asset management) Implementation and maintenance of equipment management processes and associated risk for Barloworld Equipment and our customers Effective management of safety, health, environment and quality risks Achievement of a team environment that enables maximum productivity and profitability (includes management of HR value chain) Customer Relations Effective self management and performance ownership Education and Qualifications • Track record in leading / managing people in a team-based & participative environment (experience in managing a service operation advantageous) (CRITICAL) • Sound business and financial acumen • Exposure to business planning / budgeting processes • Sound HR and IR skills • Sound knowledge of the Minerals Act (with sound knowledge of safety rules and regulations) • Sound business communication and presentation skills • Sound PC knowledge (Microsoft Office) • Good interpersonal skills to develop internal and external customer relations • Complete full induction programme to ensure knowledge of: • Barloworld Ltd • Barloworld Equipment • Internal policies and procedures • Corporate Governance • SAP • EVC (Including POP) • VBM • 6 SIGMA • Good understanding of mining operations and processes • Relevant product knowledge • Operational skills (eg, drilling and blasting; load and haul, etc) Understand equipment management principles • Business structures (networking) • Written and verbal contracts (SLA’s, etc) Express and implied ethical responsibilities • Ad hoc Manager-specific instructions Ad hoc Client instructions
